America's and Arizona's Lapse of Memory About the Causes of WW II

The actions of the Arizona government to gather up suspected illegal immigrants (code for primarily Mexican nationals who entered the US illegally and those of Mexican heritage who are related to them) unfortunately demonstrates that Arizona government's memory of WW II, its origins, and consequences, have been forgotten (if ever consciously known). Remember, Nazi Germany under Hitler prior to WW II took action against Jews, homosexuals, and others opposed to the Nazis, and tagged them as undesirables. This soon culminated in the imprisonment and elimination of millions of innocent "undesirable" people throughout Europe, and then engulfed the world in World War II.

We fought WW II along with an alliance of European and Western countries and defeated the Nazi military combine of Germany, Italy, and Japan and their plans to control the world. Nearly two million of our military draftees and volunteers and our ally combatants and civilians died and millions more were wounded and disabled in combat to stop the Nazi plans to rule the world. All this began because one nation under one crazed leader decided to terrorize innocent people, making them register, and then imprisoning them if they were classified as "undesirables". Subsequently, the gas chambers became their fate, or gradual starvation and slave labor ensued. Few survived. Nearly 6 million innocent civilian "undesirable" men, women and children were liquidated by the Nazi hate and kill machines in addition to the millions of military allies who died and were wounded in combat. All this ensued because Nazi Germany began a policy of "eliminating undesirable people".

The actions by the Arizona legislature and governor in enacting a law to gather up individuals at will if they seem to police as "reasonably suspicious and possible illegal aliens" is a step, albeit small, that parallels what the Nazi movement was, and still is about as the "Neo Nazi" movement. I believe that Arizona government has joined this Neo Nazi movement, probably unconsciously and unwittingly, and has given legitimacy to the Neo Nazi movement that would, if enabled, repeat the actions that caused WWI II, and again eliminate those people who are labeled by them as "undesirable".

Recent history has apparently been totally ignored by Arizona politicians as they attempt to gain political advantageous and/or solve a real immigration problem. Their new law is an unwitting and probably unconscious attempt to lead us down a Neo Nazi pathway and must be resisted in the courts before it gets out of control and inflames our country and the world with hate and Nazi-like actions against individuals believed by them to be "undesirable". Our country is already being stirred up by the far right members of the Republican Party and "Tea Party" who seems to advocate similar actions. This boiling pot of hate can do no good, and will if allowed to simmer will lead to virulent and unanticipated consequences.

A coordinated "racist, homosexual, and other undesirable people elimination action" must never be allowed to occur again. Wake up Arizonians and Americans. Remember WW II and its causes, and stop the hate and racial politics now before it further infects and damages our country and the world.

The Arizona Bill passed last week is being used to bring a spotlight on the problem of immigration....and the fact that this president isn't acting fast enough to solve the problem. Of coursek, neither did G.W. Bush or his father or Pres. Reagan. However, now that there is a Republican cause "stop Obama anyway we can...make him look incompetent....oppose everything..." this ARizona move is actually a part of the bigger Republican campaign against the Dems...and especially President Obama. Even though there are Republicans speaking out against the Arizona Bill, it still stands as a "thorn in Obama's side" until the Federal government takes the necessary actions.....AND....the Republicans in Congress will NOT support any move coming from the Obama administration....SO....It's working out pretty good for the racists, hate-mongers who want to destroy this presidency. However....their actions are pretty simplistic...and the Arizona Bill is illegal since immigration law must be federal law, not state. Perhaps this bill is actually part of another movement...cession....Several states now want to break away from these United States, and forget that the Civil War killed more American soldiers than any other war in our history. But hey....who cares about that, right? OY. CraigLittle
