Lost Midst the Double Superlative Conundrum

The people of our country and of other nations in the world are caught in a web of paradoxes that are generally described by the two words: "Double Superlative". Many of us are not aware of the fact that we are entwined by impossibility when either consciously or unconsciously we become enamored by these two words.

For example we expect the most from least taxes. Right? What is the "most" and the "least"? Nothing exceeds the "most" or is there anything less than the "least". So even the thought of the "most" for the "least" is a delusional brain exercise that too many of believe, and you want infinite numbers of stuff for nothing.

Yet, this is exactly what is implied by extremists on both sides of the current health care debates, airport security demands, and protection from all diseases, etc. We in the USA often demand nothing less than perfect the most comprehensive health care for the least amount of cost, perfect airport security for the lowest cost and least inconvenience, maximum disease protection for the least cost and so on. These examples are illustrative of the "Double Superlative Conundrum" and are all impossible!

Our brains seem to be caught in perpetual traps the are fostered by all extremists on the right and left and most of us in the middle too. We have yet to come to grips with reality that seldom offers us heaven on Earth without cost. Each of the three examples noted above are but a tiny sampling of the myriad array of subjects that are also part of the Double Superlative Conundrum that saturates our thinking and often our actions. Realty be damned full steam ahead on the Double Superlative Express!! Believe it or not the Express is stuck in a continuous Mobious Strip cascading loop and we will soon catch up to the rear end and an inevitable collision if we continue. Wake up to reality.
