Americans have acted. We have demonstrated to the world that our Constitutional form of governance still works, despite periodic indulgences that that retard progress. As we await the kick off of the Obama presidency on January 20, 2009 we cheer as part of one nation, splintered still by some disgruntled and hateful citizens who cannot allow themselves the luxury of hope and belief.
We cheer for the beginning of a new era when our country will again become the standard for democracy throughout the world. Having lived for over 77 years and witnessed inspiring and pure evil behaviors, we are all very fortunate to be living today as our country welcomes new directions and reason over dogma and bellicose belligerence.
Stand up and cheer, the ball will soon be in the air. Many touch downs will bring us all to our feet cheering for President Obama and our new Team USA! Every one will be the winner as our country tackles our surmountable problems with new vigor and belief in positive achievements.
The first quarter is about to begin amid turbulent times and uncertainty. But one certainty is clear and resonating. We will be led by an intelligent and sober individual who is working for, and with all of us, to bond together as "One Nation, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All".

I applaud your positive attitude in
the face of all the problems we are confronted with to try and help straighten out during the course of our individual lifetimes.
Given the opportunity we now have,
lead by a man as articulate,aware,
and intelligent as Barack Obama is,
for the first time in several years
it seems to me,once again,that maybe we still have a fighting chance afterall,to pull out of the
gigantic tailspin we've been in for the last 3 decades.
