Sen. Obama epitomizes the true potential greatness of our country. He is a pioneer in the truest sense of the word. He stands above all politics and politicians. He synthesizes all religions. He embraces all colors and creeds. He understands the true roots and meaning of our Constitution. He must become our next president so that we may achieve the greatness and vision that Thomas Jefferson expressed in The Declaration of Independence: " We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among those rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". We can realize the words from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address when he expressed so eloquently the following words: "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal". The pettiness of self-interested politicians and politics of today must be transformed into an era of cohesion and unity of purpose that exemplifies the words of Jefferson and Lincoln. Let us become the pioneers of this new era by adopting the beliefs and aspirations of two of our country’s greatest leaders; Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Let us move forward with Sen. Barak Obama into this new, all embracing, era for understanding, peace, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
